Amigos Dive Center Divemaster Internship

Come join us at Amigos Dive Center for one of the most rewarding experiences you can have as a diver. Between 3 to 5 months of work and training combined. Best learning environment with great facilities, awesome vibes, dedicated instructors, passion for the ocean and a breathtaking classroom; the Moalboal sardine run!
Inclusions:
● PADI Divemaster eLearning and Crewpack.
● Full Divemaster course and training.
● Continuous supervision and mentorship by PADI Instructors.
● Shared dormitory accommodation on the second floor (if available, subject to dorm rules).
● Unlimited fun diving (subject to boat availability).
● Hands-on dive shop experience including:
○ Guest assistance and dive logistics.
○ Equipment handling and filling station support.
○ Dive guiding (when approved and scheduled).
○ Environmental and conservation activities.
Exclusions:
● PADI Application Fee: AUD 275 (≈ ₱10,400, subject to change).
● Medical statement (~₱500 locally).
● Meals, transport, and personal expenses.
Requirements:
● Minimum 18 years old.
● Minimum 40 logged dives prior to training.
● Fluent in English.
● Certified Rescue Diver (or equivalent).*
● Current EFR certification within 24 months (can be done at Amigos Dive Center for ₱6,500).
● Valid medical statement within the last 12 months.
* Divers with certifications lower than Rescue Diver or no certification at all are also welcomed to join with a different and more extended program.

Amigos Dive Center Manager Internship
The Dive Shop Manager Internship is a structured, professional training program designed for individuals who want to develop strong operational, administrative, and leadership skills within a high-performing dive center. This internship provides comprehensive exposure to the full management workflow of a busy dive shop and is suitable for candidates pursuing careers in diving, hospitality, tourism, or outdoor recreation management.
Interns work closely with the management team and are trained to understand and support all shop operations. This includes guest coordination, equipment logistics, staff communication, scheduling procedures, quality control, and efficient day-to-day shop administration. The program emphasizes responsibility, accuracy, service excellence, and professional communication in a multilingual, international environment.
Core Training Areas
• Guest Service & Front-Desk Operations: Handling inquiries, coordinating diver check-ins, assisting with bookings, briefing guests on procedures, and maintaining smooth customer flow throughout the day.
• Equipment Management & Logistics: Understanding the full equipment cycle—including inventory preparation, issuance, quality checks, maintenance coordination, and end-of-day gear processing.
• Operational Coordination: Supporting instructors and divemasters with schedule planning, dive group organization, boat departures, materials preparation, and communication between teams.
• Administrative Support: Maintaining records, assisting with reports, organizing documentation, and ensuring operational consistency in line with dive center standards.
• Safety & Protocol Implementation: Following and reinforcing established safety procedures, equipment handling protocols, and emergency readiness practices.
• Professional Conduct & Team Leadership: Developing reliability, decision-making, conflict prevention, situational awareness, and effective communication across multicultural teams.

Candidate Profile
This internship is designed for individuals who are motivated, responsible, and eager to learn. Ideal candidates possess strong English communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A diving background is preferred but not required; training will be provided as part of the internship structure.
Program Purpose
The Dive Shop Manager Internship offers practical industry exposure and prepares trainees for future roles such as Dive Shop Manager, Divemaster, Instructor, Operations Coordinator, or broader positions in hospitality and resort management. It is a hands-on, real-world learning program that builds competence, confidence, and professional readiness.
